WORK ATMOSPHERE

Reflection: The atmosphere at the salon is lots of fun. Everyone gets along so well and whenever anyone needs any help there is always someone there to assist right away. Decisions seem to be all of a group effort and is just approved by Karen (the manager) before it is carried out. Whether it be posting something on Facebook on The Hair and Face Lounge page, decorating the salon, moving around furniture, organizing a room, or even what we should wear to work the next day. It is a very cooperative environment and there really is no competition. I believe there is no competition because everyone has their own guests that want certain hair styles. There is no sharing or trying to do better than someone else because everyone is different and even each stylist has a different technique to certain things such as how they foil hair or make color formulas. Everyone just does the best they can and they all do an exceptional job at what they do. The dress code at the salon is not very strict or formal. We are aloud to wear whatever we want as long as it is appropriate and has some sort of style. Many salons have a strict "all black" policy but I think this is so much better because we get to show off our own styles. Black would also get really boring after wearing it everyday!
